今は道路が整備され誰でも気軽に車でアクセスできるようになりました。昔は海中道路などなく、
潮が引いたときに本島から離島へ徒歩と渡し船を使って渡っていました。
海中道路から、平安座島→宮城島を通り、木々の緑とコバルトブルーの海に真っ赤に映えるアーチ型の

夏の混雑期でも砂浜が６００mという広さを誇りますのでのんびりと充分にお魚と楽しんでいただけます。
自然のビーチのため急に深くなりますが、内海のため風や潮の影響を受けにくく、
年間を通して、海水浴はもちろんマリンスポーツやお魚ウォッチング、
読書、バーベキュー・キャンプなどなど・・・家族連れで楽しんでいただいております。
沖縄では、シノーケリングによる事故が多いため、ビーチでのシノーケル禁止が多いのですが、
当ビーチでのシノーケル事故は過去一度もなく、楽しまれております。
夜は本島から離れているため星空や夜景がステキです。
砂浜にはヤドカリさんがいて・・そして、
大泊ビーチ沖に訪れる魚の種類は季節によって変わり、海亀も産卵にやって来るのです。
そんな海の生き物たちにめぐり会う事に感動する事と思います。
